Melty is the first chat-based code editor. It creates a git commit along with each chat message so it can always stay in sync with you, like a pair programmer. We launched Melty two weeks ago, and we're already at 4500 stars on github, which makes it one of the fastest growing open source YC repos ever.
We're building Chorus, a Mac app that lets you chat with O1, Claude, Perplexity, Deepseek, and others on your desktop. Find the right model for each task, get more creativity without copy–pasting prompts, and get more reliability without manually comparing model outputs.
The company shifted from a chat-based code editor (developer tool tightly integrated with git) to a multi-AI chat interface for comparing and using several AI models (general productivity tool). This represents a clear change in the core product and user workflow.
