Lumen Payments (formerly Pretzel AI) shifted from building an open-source, AI-native alternative to Jupyter Notebooks for data science to providing a solution for AI billing, usage tracking, and flexible pricing models—a totally different product for a new market. This is a full pivot with no substantial continuity between the old and new directions.
